M.A.C prep, prime, fix+

I was introduced to M.A.C’s prep, prime, fix+  spray about 5 years ago while getting my makeup done at M.A.C. From there on I was hooked. Since then I’ve tried to find a comparable product, with no success. I think the fix + spray can be used for so many things, thus the name prep, prime, fix+.

When it comes to makeup, this light spray mist can be use for numerous things. I once heard someone call this spray “Jesus water”, I laughed so hard because I immediately understood what she meant.

This spray comes in a 100ml see through frosted bottle. It conveniently has a spray spout that can be locked. Super important to me because I like throw it in my purse when I leave  the house sometimes. It also contains both cucumber and chamomile that helps soothe the skin.

Like I said before there are quite a few ways you can use M.A.C’s prep, prime, fix + so I thought I would share.

  1. I have combo dry skin so during the winter months after moisturizing I like to spray a few pumps of the fix+ spray on my face for extra hydration before applying foundation.

2.   Once my foundation and highlight have be applied I like to spray a few pumps of                fix + on my face and use my brush to blend together before setting powder. it helps the products move around better.

  1.  During the hot summer months, I keep my fix + bottle in the fridge. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to spray some cold fix+ on your face after being outside in the heat… thank me later

4.   Highlighting is the second to last thing I do when I doing my makeup. But it’s my                absolute favorite part. But I have to admit, I hate access fallout from. So, When I                  want a precise highlight I a pump of fix+ onto my brush. See just how I do it below.

1. Pick a highlighter, I choose maybelline New York;s master highlighter in 100 molted gold.. This particular highlighter has a bit of fall out so this method works great.

2. Spray your brush with fix+ spray.

3. Dip brush into highlighter ( use whatever brush you prefer, I chose a fan brush).

4.  Apply.

5.  Glow baby, glow!

This works especially well with products that have extra fall out. The fix+ spray helps the brush gather the product  without having access fall out. You dont have to dip your brush in 5/6 times or more just to get decent color pay off.

Do use M.A.C’s fix+ spray ? If so leave a comment below how you use yours I’d love to know.
