I prefer light/medium coverage, but after speaking with a Tarte rep I figured it was worth a try. I love that this liquid foundation in the color Deep Honey is a spot on color match for me. Surely the tarte rep that happened to be in Sephora had a lot to do with me finding the right shade. He was so sweet and matched me without any problems. I’m ganna be totally honest, I was 100% sure there was no way that I would find a color match in this brand at all. But this color matches perfectly.
People who know me are always commenting on how natural looking the match is. As a woman of color this is a big deal and I’ll say Tarte delivered. Best of all this foundation doesn’t oxidize over time.

Though 9-10 hours is the longest I wear makeup I can assure you this is definitely full coverage and long lasting. But I find it a bit too full coverage when applied as I would any other foundation. So I found it works better for me when I start off light and build up from there. I dot it on my face using my fingers first. Then I use my Mikasa Beauty techni O2 oval (S) brush and blend it into my skin. Once I’ve applied it all over I go back in and apply more foundation on areas that need a bit more coverage and blend. There is no need for concealer when I’m using this foundation at all.
I’m mostly oily in the T-zone and this foundation keeps this area pretty matte. I usually go for a dewy finish but this foundation is perfect when on camera or when I really want a slayed natural looking matte look. This foundation is $39.00 and can be found online at http://www.tartecosmetics.com or in Ulta or Sephora.
