Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream Review

I have dry combination skin so I’m always in search of the perfect moisturizer. First off I’m a sucker for packaging,  I wasn’t disappointed. Packaging was actually what drew me in when I saw this at Walmart. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream, for extra dry skin is a gel- cream. It’s light weight and fast absorbing. Neutrogena claims that this provides instantaneous moisture and all day hydration.

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream is fragrance, oil and dye free. It also contains one of my favorite ingredients, hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the skin which helps keep it moisturized. This is actually one of the key ingredients I look for when shopping for a moisturizer. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream is lightweight and definitely absorbs nicely into the skin. without leaving you feeling oily or greasy.

I’ve even tried it under light/ medium coverage makeup. I find that my face stays hydrated thought the day without drying out. When trying the gel cream on a full coverage day, I applied it the same way I did before. I noticed that my skin was bit dry in some places. I wouldnt say it was extremely dry just not as moisturized as I wanted  it to be. So the next time I wore full coverage makeup I applied the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream the same as before. This time paying more attention to the areas that tend to get drier then others, (outside of my T-zone). This did the trick . My face was hydrated throughout the day

I’m on my second jar and I’ve experienced no breakouts. My foundation glides nicely over it. I find it works well with or without makeup. Regardless your skin texture or type  Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream is something to look into. It’s an awesome product, it gets the job done and I have no complaints. At Walmart this retails for about $17.00.  I give it 5 out of 5.  Great price, good packaging, fast absorbing and awesome results.   IMG_0039.JPG
